The N55 makes easy power, and every common mod on the platform adds heat the factory radiator was never sized for. The stock unit uses plastic tanks and a crimped seam that eventually leaks, and coolant temps climb enough on track to pull timing well before anything mechanical is at risk. This CSF is a full aluminum replacement built to end both problems in one part.
It uses a two row 42mm dual core with CSF's B Tube technology, where a seam brazed inlet down the middle of each tube splits the flow and adds roughly 15 percent more heat transfer surface than a conventional oval tube in the same space. The fin pack is multi louvered at 6.5mm height for airflow, and the fittings are CNC machined aluminum quick connects. There is a race style aluminum drain plug, which anyone who has fought a plastic factory drain will appreciate. Finish is satin aluminum.
Fits 2012 to 2018 N55 cars including the F87 M2, F2X M235i, and F3X 335i and 435i, with and without xDrive. It replaces OEM part 17118672103 and drops straight in using the factory hoses, AC condenser, brackets, and fan shroud, so there is no cutting or modification.
