We are very excited to introduce the second revision of our popular Performance V1 carbon fiber mirror caps. The new Performance V2 design includes several key improvements, including a more durable clear coat, reinforced mounting tabs, and a full dry carbon construction. These updates create a stronger and better looking package while maintaining excellent value.
Our mirror caps are crafted from genuine pre-preg carbon fiber. When it comes to carbon fiber, there are two main types: wet and dry. Dry carbon offers a higher strength to weight ratio, making it both stronger and lighter. It is produced using a vacuum and heat process that removes excess resin, resulting in a uniform and consistent weave. This makes dry carbon more expensive to manufacture, but the benefits in quality and performance are substantial. This process does not change the glossy finish, and the caps will still match 2x2 wet carbon parts.
Professional installation is recommended. The mounting tabs on any mirror cap, OEM or aftermarket, require precise and careful handling during installation.
