The factory air inlets are one of the most commonly upgraded areas on the G8X M3 and M4. Improve both the appearance and functionality of your front end with the Performance V1 air inlets, designed to offer a cleaner look and improved airflow compared to the OEM components.
The Performance V1 air inlets are constructed from genuine prepreg carbon fiber, resulting in a lighter and more consistent product than traditional wet carbon alternatives. The controlled manufacturing process produces uniform weave quality and improved rigidity, while a durable UV resistant clear coat helps protect against long term exposure and environmental wear. In addition to the visual upgrade, the revised design promotes improved airflow, offering minor cooling benefits.
Installation requires removal of the front bumper for proper fitment. Due to the level of disassembly involved, professional installation is highly recommended.
Prepreg carbon fiber is manufactured by pre impregnating the carbon fabric with resin and curing it under controlled heat and vacuum pressure. This process creates a stronger and lighter component with fewer imperfections and a more refined surface finish. The manufacturing method does not affect the gloss appearance, and these air inlets will visually match other 2x2 carbon fiber components.
