We are very excited to bring the second revision of our very popular Performance V1 carbon fiber mirror caps to the site! The Performance V2 mirror caps feature several much-needed improvements over the V1 mirror caps. These improvements include a stronger, more resistant clear coat, stronger mounting tabs, and a full dry carbon design, all of which help create a stronger and better looking package, at a fraction of the cost of the OEM counterpart.
Similar to the OEM BMW M Performance mirror caps, ours are crafted using genuine pre-preg carbon fiber. When it comes to carbon fiber, there are two types: wet and dry carbon. Dry carbon is considered better than wet carbon because it has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, meaning it's stronger and lighter than wet carbon. Additionally, dry carbon is made using a different manufacturing process, which involves using a vacuum and heat to remove all the excess resin from the carbon fiber weave, resulting in a more uniform and consistent product. This process also makes dry carbon more expensive than wet carbon, but for those looking for the best performance and quality, it's well worth the investment. This does not affect the glossy finish, this is simply the manufacturing process. These will still match with parts that are 2x2 wet carbon fiber.
Professional installation is recommended. Note that the tabs are fragile, and mirror caps, OEM and aftermarket alike, must be installed in a precise and careful manner.
