We are excited to introduce the second revision of our popular Performance V1 carbon fiber mirror caps. The new Performance V2 design incorporates several key improvements, including a more durable clear coat, reinforced mounting tabs, and full dry carbon construction. These updates result in a stronger, more refined product while maintaining excellent overall value.
Our mirror caps are manufactured from genuine pre preg carbon fiber. In the carbon fiber market, there are two primary construction methods: wet carbon and dry carbon. Dry carbon offers a higher strength to weight ratio, making it both lighter and stronger than wet carbon alternatives. It is produced using a vacuum and heat curing process that removes excess resin, resulting in a more uniform weave and consistent finish. While this process is more costly, the improvements in quality, durability, and overall appearance are significant. Despite the construction method, the glossy finish remains unchanged, allowing these mirror caps to visually match 2x2 wet carbon components.
Professional installation is recommended. The mounting tabs on all mirror caps, whether OEM or aftermarket, require careful and precise handling during installation to ensure proper fitment.
