We are excited to introduce the second revision of our popular Performance V1 carbon fiber mirror caps. The new Performance V2 mirror caps feature several meaningful upgrades over the previous version, including a more durable clear coat, reinforced mounting tabs, and a full prepreg carbon fiber construction. These improvements result in a stronger, more refined product while remaining significantly more affordable than the OEM alternative.
Similar to OEM BMW M Performance mirror caps, our Performance V2 caps are manufactured using genuine prepreg carbon fiber. Prepreg carbon differs from traditional wet carbon in that the carbon fabric is pre impregnated with resin and cured under controlled heat and vacuum pressure. This process produces a lighter and stronger part with more consistent resin distribution, fewer imperfections, and a uniform weave appearance. While prepreg carbon is more costly to produce, it offers improved durability, fitment, and overall quality. The manufacturing method does not affect the gloss finish, and these mirror caps will visually match other 2x2 carbon fiber components.
Professional installation is recommended. Please note that mirror cap tabs are inherently delicate on both OEM and aftermarket parts and must be installed carefully and precisely to avoid damage.
