The S58 makes a lot of heat, and oil temperature is one of the first things to climb when you add power or run the car hard. Push it far enough, especially on a tuned car or a hot track day, and the G8X pulls into limp mode to protect the engine, which ends the session. This CSF oil cooler replaces the factory unit with a design built around CSF's AC condenser technology: a single row 32mm super high pressure microtube core with ten channels that moves oil efficiently and packs in more surface area, topped with an 8mm tall multi louvered fin against the OEM 6mm for better heat dissipation.
It keeps the factory mounting location and dimensions, so it drops straight in, reuses the OEM ducting, shrouds, and rubber seals, and connects to the stock oil lines with no modifications. CSF includes a rock guard up front to shield the core from stones and track debris, which is exactly how stock coolers tend to get punctured and dump oil. It fits the S58 powered G8X cars, covering the G80 M3, the G82 and G83 M4, and the G87 M2, in both rear and all wheel drive and with either transmission.
This one is built for owners actually working the car: road racing, drag, or any build past stock power, where the factory oil cooler runs short on headroom. It comes with the install hardware and pairs naturally with the rest of CSF's G8X cooling parts if you are building out a full cooling plan for a high output S58.
